Fairbanks, AK . ..July 22 - July 27, 2009

We are now in Fairbanks. Ak...There are many fires in the area and the air quailty is not good on some days. The sky is often brown and orange from the sun shining through the smoke..

Even with the smoke, we have a great time in Fairbanks. Here are some of our pictures.........you will notice that I take a lot of flower pictures, but the flowers are so beautiful and so large compared with the flowers grown in the lower 48 states.

Riverboat Discovery....We took a cruise on this boat.

Giant cabbage....I should say just an average size cabbage here.

Golden Queen flower

For-get-me-nots.....Alaska's state flower

Pioneer Park in Fairbanks

Picking blueberries.........boy was the blueberry pie good

I must have gone at the wrong time. I never saw all those beautiful flowers or as many animals!

Jennifer, glad you signed into my blog. Yes we are having a great time. We are so behind on the blog, but the weather has been to good to be inside downsizing photos. After dinner in the evening we usually play a game and then you know it is bedtime for us old folks.
